Xmas Manicure #1 : Sliver Wonderland

Etude House: Grey with blue base with silver shimmer/flecks of irregular size
Beauty Credit: Glittery Silver with gritty-ness
Nature Republic: Chrome Silver (blue tinge)

Without Beauty Credit's Silver Glitter, hence a really nice chrome look. Application for Nature Republic's chrome needed to be a little careful, brushstrokes can be visible, best to load brush with sufficient polish for one coat.

Taken after 3 days of wear. Pretty solid I must say. As usual with Seche Vite on top.
Jewels stayed on pretty well too... Pictures taken in natural light!

//* thank you all for the comments in my last post :) Glad to hear positive remarks! Am still trying to be perfectly straight with my lines, the tip to move the finger and not the brush helps! ;)
Am glad i gave Ole another chance. The first time I used it as a mani i thought it was streaky as hell! I just had to give it some time to settle and all is well :D

//* Cheryl from Legally Polished has tagged me in an award :D A Spanish one too! I have taken Spanish before and love it!

1. Why did you create the blog?
I really wanted to be part of the community and share my love for nail polish after lurking around in the dark posting comments on blog posts LOL
2. What kind of blogs do you follow?
A few local Singaporean blogs, mainly nail and some beauty blogs too..
3. Do you have a favorite make-up brand?
No, am new to makeup and also still an undergrad, so I dont exactly have much spare cash for makeup after my nail obsession! HAHA.. I love nude lipsticks and eyeliners... hmm.
4. And a favorite clothing brand?
No, I am not picky on brands for clothes, just as long as they fit my style :)
5. What make-up products are essential for you?
Makeup base, BB cream, nude lippie, foundation powder and mascara!
6. What's your favorite colour?
Tough one, torn between royal purple and tangerine orange..
7. What's your favorite perfume?
Hugo Boss' cologne that my bf wears lol. As for me, it's a tie between Lychee Blossom from The Body Shop and DKNY's delicious  (red and green).. HAHA
8. What's the film you liked the most?
Hard to answer! Just watched Rapunzel, it's really nice. I like Megamind too for the wit, Despicable Me was fun too! HAHA i am easy on films. Just do not like HP series and LOTR... i like Star Wars and Terminator Series and Bourne series too LOL (end rambling)
9. What countries would you like to go?
Spain! USA (for my np fix), Hong Kong (for the 5th time pls!), Taiwan!, South Korea (for the cosmetics), Italy, France and Australia too!

Hope it wasnt too hard to read!

in the mood for glitter love..

I have not laid my hands on any Burlesque yet! Argh~ I know.. but I have two glitters to tide me through this lemming... so until I decide it's time to get some, I'll rely on these to make me happy. Besides, it is a PITA to remove them! haha.

These are shots of this awesome shiny glittery goodness I had on for abt 3 days :)
The base was done with Beauty Credit's Silver Drop, featured in my haul post just recently.
Then I did two coats of Armour Rain Glitter, careful to fully coat the half of the nail from the cuticle.

Then i added 2  -3 coats of Finger Paints' Wicked Glitter from the tip. To create the gradient, focus on the tips and stop halfway down the nail.
I topped it with Nail It silver glitter and hex hologram in clear base, frm the cuticle outwards. The silver glitter will add a clearer gradient look :)
Topped with topcoat to prevent the gritty nail surface from pulling hair strands when running hands over hair HAHA! vain, i know :P

p.s the first two photos are taken by my sister with Lumix LX5 :)

Love the bottle of Finger Paints, round and bottom heavy. The brush works awesome too! Both glitters dried fast so better to work fast while u uncap them. Im gonna thin them a bit before I use them again!
This is an absolutely quick and dirty mani that I suggest for days u are tired and just need to have shiny awesome nails to spice ur day up!
I also suggest using this technique with the Burlesque glitters!!! I wanna see how they look :D
Just a heads up, look out for the next post! ;)

NEW in Singapore: THE FACESHOP, NATURE REPUBLIC polishes

This is from Nature Republic. They have the weirdest nail polish bottles! This has golden flakes glitter in a yellowish base... great for layering? Gonna do some on my current Color Club's Wild at Heart <3

 Close up shot.
A glitter red. Not very exciting I admit.

From The Face Shop: Face it- purple and blue duochromy colour. Rather well pigmented from the testing I did at the shop..
Another new one, glitter hex and glitter bits in a clear base, great for layering over silver or charcoal metallics...
From Beauty Credit: a sparkly silver. hope this turns out super reflective ehehe. Not new :)

This concludes part of my nail polish haul! *phew* I am a Sinner :'(
