Xmas Manicure #6: Candy Wonderland!

A really simple and cheery looking manicure that I did with:
1) The Skinfood Pedicure Sparkle in #11
2) added a coat of Elianto Shine Opal (for a very slight blue tint)
3) sugar coating ladybug glitter by doodlebug design inc., sprinkled on the tips
and then manually placing
4) some hex iridescent (red/green) and 5) crystal rhinestones :)

Sealed them in with Seche Vite that turned the glitters more orange than red :)

Hope you like this one! It is very sparkly in the sun, I love it!

Be here and be Squovalicious!

Thank you for the blogger love :)
To celebrate 100 followers and more, here are the 'local' polishes I am giving away!

There are not exactly awesome brands that are locally made in Singapore so I found these polishes that are locally available and mostly made in South Korea, or perhaps all! lol.

A disclaimer, I bought them all with my money and I cannot guarantee that they are big-3 free. They are all brand new, unswatched. And so, I hope you could do a swatch post when you get them :) Or give me some feedback as whether you like them or not!
 Nature Republic: ERD 301

bejeweled! SKINFOOD + nail art + jewels

This is a pretty nail art that I did after being inspired by Nail Venus Magazine that my bf bought for me :) It was a gift, isnt he lovely? :)

I wanted to try out my purple polish from SKINFOOD and after doing two coats on all nails, I decided to spice it up a little :) Here is what I ended up with:

The purple is rich and applies well, with one coat for coverage if you are careful. It has a pink shimmer that shows beautifully in the sun. Added some jewels to sparkle it nicely. The black lines are drawn with a nail art enamel, from Daiso. I love it so much. It wore well :) I used Seche Vite on fingers with jewels :) The other nails were topped with L.A Girls Diamond Topcoat.

Tip: Wait for mani to be dried before applying topcoat, else risk bubbling. But do apply for the jewel one to seal them on top!

Hope you liked this as much as I did!

P.S this is the ruined mani from the Metallic Muse incident. (refer to previous post)

Old NOTD: to celebrate my last day of internship at UP Your Service! Global

My Summer holidays concluded with a bang as I went to work on my last day at UP Your Service! Global. It was a great and fantastic experience, very positive and indeed uplifting :) I love my colleagues there, it was fun working there! And as the company colours were blue, red and white... I did my mani in those colours too...

Take a look:
Yeah, they dont really belong together in a set lol. But well, I was trying out the reds hehe. Used a number of polishes here.

And the right hand... Horrendous but for the thumb lol.

Well I urge you to look at them separately lol  and I treated this as a freehand nail art experiment muhahaha :D

This shark poster was on my desk since I arrived. Really cute although I was a little intimidated at first lol. :D I miss you, sharkie!
And this is an awesome view from 31st floor. We are a 'home office'. :) Taken just before the thunderstorm! I love the peaceful serenity and awesome sea breezes from the office. :)

Polishes used: Orly La Playa, Orly Red Carpet, SKINFOOD Pedicure Sparkle in silver, SKINFOOD Nail Vita in RE107, Rainbow white polish, Fake OPI as the glitter topcoat.

bumper post!

After one day of OPI Ink with CND Jade Sparkle, i took out my Daiso nail art lime green holo glitter and did this:
made me satisfied as holo glitter nv failed me, it glowed on the dark blue-black base...
this is another mani i done... boyfriend said that it's time for me to start on nail art.. as ive practised quite a far bit of nail painting... :) he is so sweet, eh?
this is most colour accurate... the dark blue is an Elianto polish, Indigo Shine, the pink with glass flecks is a Caerphilly, unknown number, and the silver is a SKINFOOD Pedicure Sparkle no.11 lol.
the right hand... seems neater, ironically as my right hand is stronger..
ok these photos are enough! moving on...
China Glaze's BFF! loved this sooooo much! :D mine was thick so need to do more than 2 coats to even it out... :)
in the shade, still a pretty purple :)
oooh, now this looks black but it's not! :D and the tips are done with China Glaze Atlantis! :D
yes, an 'Orly' :D
name?
072, in Korean :P
But hey, the application is super good! Two thin coats and you are done! levels itself well too and very pigmented~
Not too sure why my thumb looks like this lol.
I love this manicure thou it doesnt capture well in photos... and as for the similarity to NARS Zulu, well it is not a jelly for sure, but a creme i would say :) deep dark green that looks black in the shade... well, i love this no matter what! :D

stardusted nails... part 1

I dont know if i should do a series of these... but i realised ive been liking this kind of nails... well, you will see...

Arezia red #691 and L.A Girls Rockstar Overdose :)

SKINFOOD Nail Vita BR612 and NYX Girls CN214 Showgirl :)
had the first one on my left hand and the other one on my right hand lol :)

Love the subtle bling under dimmer lights.. and the SKINFOOD bronze is very reflective in sunlight! though not captured here.
overall smooth application for all! Arezia took two to three coats for the colour to be like in the bottle. Two coats for SKINFOOD.

What do you think of these??

iron man nails!!!

I stumbled upon this colour combination and i thought it looked like IRON MAN's suit :P
what do you think?
i didnt seal or wrap my tips. i shld have cuz i love this mani to bits.
my first attempt at a Ruffian-inspired one :)
not too bad i wld say, rather neat hehe.
this is taken indoors. not very colour accurate. and without top coat.
it does not shine as well, and it is more of a metal finish.

im using kitoko kalani's 1224 :) i bought two bottles and gave one away to my friend :) who has kindly gave me 18 of her polishes, used once or twice!
so many to play with now :D:D

and the awesome red is from the SKINFOOD. :)
RE102
a deep red rose colour and looks awesomely delicious with L.A girls diamond top coat!!

i cant wait to do another manicure but thats for tomorrow :D
have a good week ahead ladies ;)
hope you like this hehe
