China Glaze: Electric Pineapple + Papaya Punch

The other two colours from China Glaze's Summer Collection Island Escape that I have used in a manicure are the only cremes in the set of 6.

These are bright but not neon bright cremes that are absolutely lovely to add to anyone's collection. Of course, you must be quite brave ;)

The thumb is Papaya Punch. Packs a punch eh? Very bold orange that isnt leaning too much yellow in it!
The last three fingers have Electric Pineapple on them with some iridescent glitter on the tips.

Application wise, I needed 3 coats to even out the Electric Pineapple but Papaya Punch was good in 2 coats. Love the China Glaze brushes for good control in application.

The red in this manicure could be Essie's Limited Edition. I cannot be sure as this was done some time ago :P The nail art glitter is Precision's Taste the Rainbow.

How do you like this mix of colours?

Giveaway Polish! Etude House dark green surprise~

Have you entered my giveaway yet? I'll be closing it at the end of May when I return from Taiwan :)
Here is one gorgeous polish I am giving away (I swatched my own bottle):
These are two coats or one thick coat :P
When the light hits it directly, it looks like a squishy forest green colour.
What do you see?
Yes golden shimmer! Hidden in the dark green jelly/creme. I cant decide cuz if you do one more coat it will be opaque like a creme I suppose...

Excited much?
Application was a breeze, did not clean up for these photos, the brush is great to work with! :)

Comment in this post to join in the giveaway! :D

Essence Sundancer + Check Me Out

This is Essence's Colour and Go series. Sundancer. Opaque in 2 coats. Pretty awesome application I must say! :D as I layered them on too quickly, there were a million bubbles. So i layered Ottie's gold glitter and holo hex glitter in clear base over.

Creme and glitter, a little weird mix but turned out much better in the sun. Wore this for a day. Glad that Sundancer complemented my skintone... :)
Gonna try this as a full mani soon...
This is the other colour, Check Me Out ! just had to add the exclamation mark. :P
Pretty green, application was awesome too! I did two coats, less bubbles here. Colour is more accurate in the shade. Or the second photo. Dries a little matte/satiny so I did some top coat here. :)

Pardon the dirty window ledge thingy. I havent thought of scrubbing them since I moved here more than 3/4 of my life! lol. Maybe I should....

Near dupe to WIng It! OPI + Comparing Essence's VIP Appeal and Essie's Knockout Pout

On the left: OPI Wing It!
On the right: Nature Republic ERC 302
Both have the blue, pink, purple flecky finish in the same pink base. Nature Republic's more opaque. OPI is more glass flecky than Nature Republic. Not sure if the duochromy finish would be obvious on Nature Republic. :/ I only did finger swatches. If you are interested, I will show a full swatch soon!
Thumb: Essence's VIP Appeal
Other fingers: Essie's Knockout Pout
Essie is a strong neon pink that i love so much! Doesnt make my skin looks dark and dirty. Essence's VIP Appeal is a softer pink, something like a Barbie pink to me. Very feminine, i'd wear it as a full mani!

Have you entered my giveaway yet? You have until 17th October! :D

p.s I will do up a post on Stompy real soon! He's indeed cute :)

China Glaze Atlantis NOTD + Chocolate Mint Crackled NOTD

Special double edition!

I am embarking on my Final Year Project and while I have been polishing my soon-to-be talons, I havent been blogging! lol. But I have been reading all your blogs! :D

Enough said, let me present to you one of my lemmings fulfilled. Atlantis is a China Glaze special glitter and one of my first 2 CGs :)

Sheer green jelly with loads holo glitter! All pictures are 2 coats and taken in sunlight! Gritty feeling on the nail but solved w some top coat. It is best as a layered polish, as I have used it for my tips while wearing a really dark green creme.
Seen in my profile picture on the left <-

I <3 Stompy

Another failed crackled art i guess. Loved the accidental colour combination here. New york Summer Hot baby Blue and Aolaiya crackle murky green/brown top coat. Well, not very hot baby blue yea? It is a nice green jelly-creme. i did the first coat and let it dried. 2nd and halfway through i applied the crackled top coat. well, didnt crackle as much as my first version but it is ok i guess. 2 days and it's outta my nails!

Noticed the tip wear? I guess the crackle top coat shrinks my nails a little. hmmm. gotta take note. no top coat needed as this one dried glossy, like shiny plastic.

Removal was a classic PITA, as the crackle will not dissolve in remover but peels off from the other polish layers. and while it peels, it gets stuck on the cuticle and finger! ugh. took me eons to remove them~

Gotta devise a method for this polish removal process!

Happy Sunday ya'all!

Bidding a temporary farewell with a manicure session at my place!

Yes, this aint my hand but its my work :) *beams*
I OFFERED my friend for a mani/pedi session and I am very happy to be able to do a manicure for my friend/neighbour for the 1st time before she flies off to the US for a work and travel program :)

Took out my stash and let her choose a colour so that i can paint for her :)
And it is the Etude House polish, the duochrome mermaidy one, which i have done a mani with last month :)
Absolutely gorgeous colour, perfect in one coat!
Added stars for her :D
It was fun as we catched up while i did her nails :) and now she is in the US already as we speak and pls HAVE FUN!

*shall restrain myself from getting her to buy me some polishes... but i think Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure is a must! muahahaha* -ahem-

And then, i did my own nails too :) tried a new colour, apple minty green from THE FACESHOP... as requested by my bf...
as with any pastel creme, this was streaky on first coat but does level itself pretty well... it was ave 2 - 3 coats, and some fingers with added shimmer of the same base color (also from THE FACESHOP)
Added some matte apple green hearts that i bought from Daiso, a pity it blended in too well with the polish lol. On the 2nd night, i added some pastel yellow polish and attempted a gradient hahahaha. well well, i removed it soon, on the next day lol.

it was a bright colour, also florescent i would say... but a nice change too. i did matte coats for some fingers and Seche Vite for others... just trying out different finishes as it is hard for others too see anyway, the color is what is obvious, not the finish :)

P.s thank you for the responses to the previous post on Zoya recommendations :) will get them soon!
P.p.s Nunu rmb to claim urs next year!!! <3
