Lemony Ombre with a twist!

Used 5 different polishes for this look...
Thumb: Barry M Lemon Ice Cream (thin formula, needed 3 coats), Nature Republic's GR 602 (paler green than in photo, think apple green), The Faceshop's YL 701, Elianto's Yellow/#23, Essence's Sundancer :)
See the sheet marks there? LOL The pastels were kinda hard to apply, a little thick so my layers became pretty uneven. Maybe a little thinner might do the trick? :/
2nd and I was kinda bored... so I added stuff*
The lighter green on thumb is Essence's Check Me Out, the darker green on index is Essie's Pretty Edgy, the orange on 4th finger is The Faceshop's OR201 and the blue is The Faceshop's BL601..
*phew*
and tadah! I had fun doing this, although I changed my mani that evening LOL.
I relied on some lousy nail guides meant for French nails. The sides kept lifting as it dont adhere well to my nail, or maybe my nails are too curved? :/

Thanks for all the lovely comments so far :)) Im fast approaching another milestone, BUT whats more important is the friendships I have forged with some of you, whether through e-mails, inquiries or swapping :)
<3 to all and sending positive energy to you if you ever need to feel uplifted!

Xmas Manicure #3: Christmas Trees/Forests :P + Pseudo-Xmas Manicure #4 :P

Did the gradient look with Daiso nail art striper in green. The tip is a nice dark green jelly from Sasatinnie... and the green holo is from a Daiso nail art striper too :) The stars kinda stuck out the whole time even thou I used Seche Vite. Anyone with tips? :)
Using the Funky Fingers lacquer I showed in the previous post, I did it with China Glaze's Kiwi Coolada :) Sorry the neon didnt show up!

 Mattified the FF :)

Mattified the Kiwi Coolada :P

Here's Mr Stompy with his 'log house' for the winter holidays :P Plus a new smaller cage for him! He gets to roam around more :)

Essence Sundancer + Check Me Out

This is Essence's Colour and Go series. Sundancer. Opaque in 2 coats. Pretty awesome application I must say! :D as I layered them on too quickly, there were a million bubbles. So i layered Ottie's gold glitter and holo hex glitter in clear base over.

Creme and glitter, a little weird mix but turned out much better in the sun. Wore this for a day. Glad that Sundancer complemented my skintone... :)
Gonna try this as a full mani soon...
This is the other colour, Check Me Out ! just had to add the exclamation mark. :P
Pretty green, application was awesome too! I did two coats, less bubbles here. Colour is more accurate in the shade. Or the second photo. Dries a little matte/satiny so I did some top coat here. :)

Pardon the dirty window ledge thingy. I havent thought of scrubbing them since I moved here more than 3/4 of my life! lol. Maybe I should....

Mid autumn Festival Mani!

Last Wednesday was Mid-Autumn Festival :) It was fun as I sat in a swing since a million years ago! It was fun and carefree :)
Close up view: Love how it twinkles holgram glitter/specks, green and blue... and then the golden hex glitter like stars. Looks better in real life as you view them with your naked eye.

Polishes used: Etude House High Heel Pedicure: Black jelly with hologram glitter of diff sizes, CLATTY black jelly with hologram glitter (small), layered with Elianto Opal Shine, and then with Daiso Pedicure golden hex glitter of various sizes in clear polish.

The moon finger: I used China Glaze OMG- Gr8 and Elianto's Yellow. Bah, i was lazy to use my new dotting tool so its not a round moon :P

Topped with Seche Vite to give a good glossy smooth finish :)

CASTLEDEW + SUNSILK gift + Polka dots mani for sister

Here it is! The chanced upon polishes from Castledew, a Korean brand. The SA said that I seem to like darker colours lol. Accidentally chose two vampy-ish colours, guess I was feeling the fall weather in Singapore lol. kidding :P
They have numbers at the bottom but after some googling, found the pretty names to them. On the left, 9292, Planet chocolate and on the right, 9289, galaxy charcoal brown. Prett accurate names but also left to ur imagination hehe :) If you would like to see swatches, do leave a comment! I have other untrieds... this might give me some motivation :)
I participated in a Facebook quiz for Sunsilk Singapore and here's the Shampoo I received in my mail, 90ml Lively Clean and Fresh :) Loved it as it gives a little tingly sensation after use on the scalp :) smells nice too!
This is a mani I did for my sister two weekends ago :) She has nailbeds half mine. Lol. Parents always wondered if I was their daughter as I have longer and bigger nail beds than my mum and dad lol. :)
I didnt think I used up a lot of polish to do this mani so I decided to add some dots for her. Well, she has this more demure vibe than I do so I thought it more appropriate for her
I guess I wasnt all too neat :/ Applied two coats for the pastels as they were pretty uneven on the first one. Used a toothpick for the dots lol. Rather inconsistent :P But, I guess she loved it muahahha :)
Polishes used: THE FACESHOP yellow, YL 701 and blue, BL 601
Till then!
Have a great weekend :)

Skittles French Mani + Mermaid-ee Mani :)

been some time huh.
well my internship has come to an end today. mixed emotions indeed. but i'll be back soon enough for the Opening of the Sumatra: Isle of Gold exhibition :D

Shall do my nails in the whole colour theme come next thursday ;)

And first, let me show me my happy skittles mani over the weekend and the nice mermaidy nails for today...

it has been raining so much lately... :(
i love my cuticles here... cuz i used the cuticle remover :) and cleaned my nail beds rather cleanly(!)
i used THE FACESHOP new bottled nail polish :) except for the mint green, its from Bichun :)

lovely bottle isnt it?
Etude House, duochrome polish :)
BL 009
Application was real good, 2 coats to get a deep colour as seen on the bottle.
taken it pretty dark to show the green... flashes all the time under the light, best under strong sunlight! the vibrant blue shows very well too. noticed the accent nail? :) its opal-ish glitter suspended in a cloudy base lol... from Indonesia, just trying it out as a layering polish.

dont you just love this too? :)

L.A Girls Flare- Glowing and simple nail art

a short post before Im back to preparing for my final paper...
this was done in March, been a long while :)
it took  me four coats to get this, and rid of VNL.my right hand is the dominant hand so my nail art is on my left fingernails! lol

i used the back of a toothpick to dot my nails. not all are evenly done but i like it that way :) i used red and hot pink. but since it is only one coat the colours are not very vibrant. which is good :)
Red and pink are from THE FACE SHOP.
no top coat. the dots are like braille to me :) i love feeling them when i run my finger across the nails

last shot. and a closeup. taken in flash in the evening by the beach :)
have a good day!!
